History, for ygodressing

Darkness' history mostly follows that of the series canon, branching off afterwards. When he was destroyed by Juudai, he retreated into the card that Fubuki owned, which allowed him to remain partially in Fubuki's mind.

Shortly after returning from the world of Darkness, Yusuke ended up summoning him again, claiming that he didn't want to be alone, and this allowed him to regain much of the power he'd lost when he had to retreat to his card. While in Yusuke's body he raped Edo, and later on, in Fubuki's body, he requested a relationship with Ryo, which the other evntually agreed to.

Part of his deal with Ryo was that the other would find him a body, but in return Darkness wasn't allowed to take over Fubuki or Yusuke in the meantime. He shifted himself into Ryo's mind instead, deciding to lay low at least until the body was ready.

The body was manufactured with KaibaCorp technology, but - unknown to Darkness until after he was in it - it severely limited his abilities, and over time it limited them more and more. During his time in that body, Fubuki and Ryo forgave each other for everything that had happened, and started a relationship, sending Darkness into a rage that forced him to turn to the one being still strong enough to help him - the Light of Destruction.

The pair, Darkness in his manufactured body and the Light of Destruction possessing Saiou, tortured Fubuki, then let Edo and Yusuke take him back to Ryo, so that Ryo could see what they'd done. After this, both of them laid low for a little while; Edo and Yusuke were looking for a way to get rid of them, and Ryo wanted revenge for what had been done to Fubuki.

In the end Saiou was caught and held in a cell in KaibaCorp, one that trapped the Light and limited its powers. Not long after this Darkness drew Hell Kaiser out of Ryo's mind, and Ryo himself became lost in his own consciousness.

Hell Kaiser ended up in a relationship with Fubuki that was Fubuki's way of punishing himself for not stopping him taking over, and in the meantime Darkness fractured a part of Yusuke's mind away in order to create a being that simply became known as "Dakness' Doll", or "Doll". Doll was created simply to serve Darkness, and destroy Hell Kaiser - Darkness was unaware that Doll could develop feelings past that, which ended up almost costing him his life.

Eventually Hell Kaiser got his own body; similiar to Darkness, although it didn't limit him the way Darkness' did. With the knowledge that Ryo was back, and not dead, as he'd been led to believe, Fubuki became guilty for not trying to bring Ryo back. He called off his relationship with Hell Kaiser and distanced himself from everyone except Yusuke and Edo. During this time, Darkness managed to end up with Hell Kaiser.

Edo and Yusuke had still been looking for a way to destroy him, and they ended up finding one and using it to banish the Light from Saiou, who had escaped from Domino. This made Darkness rather aware of the fact that they knew how to destroy him, and he unconsciously found himself attempting to grow closer to Hell Kaiser, believing he could use the other as a sort of protection. He also later had his body modified to include cat ears and tail, to please Hell Kaiser.

It later turned out that Hell Kaiser was another spirit, similiar to Darkness in a way, except that Hell Kaiser had been a demon of the Light of Destruction, and so had been aiming from the start to destroy Darkness. Doll, having worked this out from the very beginning, aided it, by telling Edo that Darkness' body was gradually making him weaker and more human, and that his master had developed feelings for Hell Kaiser - even knowing full well that Edo would tell Hell Kaiser.

Hell Kaiser worked with the spirit of the Sennen Ring, Bakura, to try and destroy Darkness, revealing at this point what he was. Darkness eventually managed to convince Hell Kaiser not to kill him, and Bakura helped a little, seemingly for his own amusement. Hell Kaiser collapsed afterwards, and Bakura took him to the abandoned dorm, where he was staying. Once they were gone Darkness passed out from a mixture of shock, exhaustion and the injuries to his body, and when he woke up he found himself in the Dressing Room.
